Organizing your family’s photos should feel peaceful and doable, not overwhelming. My photo organizing service is designed to bring order, clarity, and calm to your collection so you can finally enjoy your memories instead of feeling buried beneath them.
Many families have one person who becomes the keeper of all the photos and stories. If that person is you, you don’t have to carry the weight of organizing them alone.
Whether you have shoeboxes of loose prints, decades of envelopes, or albums that need gentle care, your photos will be sorted, grouped, and prepared with intention, respect, and attention to detail.
• Careful sorting and grouping of your printed photos
• Removal of obvious duplicates and misfires with your approval
• Creation of a simple and meaningful structure that reflects your family’s story
• Archival safe handling throughout the entire process
• Clear groupings that prepare your photos for long term preservation and future digitizing
Once you complete the project form, I will review the details and provide an estimate before we begin. If you would like extra guidance or want help understanding where to start, you are welcome to schedule a short discovery call.
It is highly recommended to preserve your photos in archival safe methods for long term protection. Many albums and boxes are not archival safe and can cause photos to fade or deteriorate over time. To help protect your images for decades, I offer archival safe storage solutions.
This includes:
• High quality acid free archival boxes
• Protective dividers
• Clear labeling
• A storage system that protects your original prints for decades
More information is available on the Archival Preservation page.
• Shoebox collections
• Decades of envelopes and loose stacks
• Old albums that need gentle removal
• Families preparing for a scanning project
• Anyone wanting their memories to feel manageable again
Organizing your photos gives your memories a home and a story. When your photos are grouped in a meaningful way, everything becomes easier to understand and enjoy. It turns a box of mixed images into a collection that reflects your family’s history in a clear and thoughtful way.
This step also protects your story for the future. A well organized archive allows your children and grandchildren to look back and immediately understand who is in the photos, when the moments happened, and why they mattered. Instead of feeling overwhelmed by piles of pictures, they are handed a clear and beautiful record of your life and legacy.
Organizing before scanning also creates a smoother and more intentional digitizing experience. Your final digital folders will mirror the structure we create together so they feel simple to navigate, intuitive to use, and ready for long term preservation.

Do I need to know how I want my photos organized?
No. I can help you choose a simple structure that works well for your family.
Will you remove duplicates?
Yes. Duplicates and misprints can be separated for your review before discarding or storing.
Can you organize albums?
Yes. Many older albums were not made with archival safe materials, so the safest long term option is often to gently remove the photos and reorganize them using archival methods. If you would like your photos returned to an album, that can be done. But in many cases I recommend placing them into archival safe containers to help protect them for future generations.
You can learn more about this on the Archival Preservation page.
Will I be updated throughout the process?
Yes. If questions arise or I need clarification, I will reach out during the project. Otherwise, you can relax knowing your photos are being cared for from start to finish.
What if I only want part of my collection organized?
You are welcome to start with one box, one decade, or one small project.
